زمانیکه وارد بازار لپتاپ میشوی، با خودت میگویی با وجود این همه فروشنده و خریدار، بازار باید تمامی اطلاعات مورد نیاز را در اختیار مصرفکننده قرار دهد. با وجود تعداد زیاد فروشندگان و انواع و اقسام بروشورهایی که اطلاعاتی را در مورد لپتاپها در اختیار مصرفکننده قرار میدهند، زمانیکه وارد هر یک از فروشگاهها میشوی نکاتی میشنوی که در هیچیک از بروشورها نبوده و تا به حال آنها را از کسی نشنیدهای. جالبتر اینکه وقتی وارد فروشگاه دوم میشوی، فروشنده حرفهایی میزند که با خودت فکر میکنی فروشنده اول، هرچه گفته دروغ بوده و باید از خیر او گذشت. تقریبا نمیتوان دو فروشنده را پیدا کرد که یک حرف مشترک تحویل مشتری بدهند. از آن بدتر این است که قیمت که قرار است نقش مکانیزم علامتدهنده را ایفا کند، ثابت نیست و هر فروشنده هم قیمت خاصی ارائه میدهد. برای مثال، حتی دو دستگاه سونی با خواص مشابه نیز در یک پاساژ قیمت مشترکی ندارند، و دو فروشگاه کنار هم نیز یک قیمت مشترک ندارند کما اینکه در روی کاغذ تمامی اطلاعات مربوط به لپتاپها یکی است. یعنی در این شرایط قیمتها اطلاعات لازم برای تصمیمگیری را ارائه نمیدهند. به دوستان هم که تلفن میزنی هر یک نکتهای میگوید که بیش از آنکه کمک کند تنها باعث گیجتر شدن خریدار میشود. خلاصه اینکه تصمیم به خرید تنها میتواند با آگاهی از نااطمینانیهای موجود اتخاذ شود که ممکن است یکی از همین عدم اطمینانها در نهایت و پس از خرید موجب ایجاد حس سرخوردگی در خریدار شود. برای مثال به خدمات پس از فروش زیگورات زنگ میزنی، میپرسی که سیستم دل تحت داس سیدی درایورها را دارد میگوید که نه و باید آنها را جداگانه بخری. به فروشگاه زیگورات که زنگ میزنی میگوید جعبه لپتاپ تمامیسیدیهای موجود را دارد. میان یک فروشگاه و شرکت ارائه کننده خدمات پس از فروش آن این همه فاصله اطلاعاتی چه برسد به شکاف اطلاعاتی میان دو برند مختلف.خلاصه اطلاعات نامتقارن بیداد میکند و چارهای هم جز خرید نیست. پیشنهاد شما برای خرید لپتاپ چیست؟

راهی که من خودم در هنگام خرید لپ تاپ استفاده می کنم این است که از یک دوست خارج از کشور بخواهم که بهم اطلاعات بده و یا یک سری از مجله های تخصصی کامپیوتر در مورد لپ تاپ را می خوانم و بعد هم لپ تاپهایی که با نیازم سازگار باشد را انتخاب میکنم و بعد با کسی که به کامپیوتر و مخصوصا بخش سخت افزار وارد است در مورد بخش سخت افزاری مدل انتخابی ام صحبت می کنم، بعد هم از یک فروشنده مورد اعتماد خریداری میکنم.در مورد خدمات پس از فروش هم اگر فروشنده مطمئن باشد، مشکلی پیش نخواهد آمد
البته آخرین گزینه ای که اخیرا در این مورد به نتیجه رسیده ام ((چون راه های پیشناهد ی شما را قبلا امتحان کرده ام) این است که از دوستی بخواهم هنگامی که نمایشگاه کامپیوتر در دبی هست برایم لپ تاپ بخرد و بیاورد چون قمیت لپ تاپ در آن زمان و در دبی به نسبت ایران خیلی کمتر است

هر کار کنی آخرش سرت کلاه میرود. فقط باید دعا کنی که لپ تاپ خراب نشود. به نظر من بهتر است لپ تاپ قیمت معمولی داشته باشد -زیر یک میلیون تومان- در این صورت اگر خراب شد نه خودت خیلی ناراحت می شوی نه تعمیرکار قیمت خون باباش را طلب می کند.
در مورد تعمیر هم در ایران کارهایی می کنند که در جاهایی دیگر نمی کنند. در اینجا منیتور لپ تاپ من شکست هر کجا تماس گرفتم حدود نصف قیمت لپ تاپ نو را می خواستند وقتی آمدم ایران با دویست هزار تومان و یک نصف روز وقت درست شد.
