برای من کتاب فروشیها یکی از مهمترین معیارهای فرهنگ فکری هر محیطی به شمار میروند. معمولا در سفر به شهرهای مختلف سعی میکنم حتما به کتابفروشیها سر بزنم. کتابفروشی اصلی شیراز فروشگاه محمدی است واقع در خیابان ملاصدار. در این فروشگاه نزدیک به ۲۰ نفر مشغول کار هستند. البته مدیر فروشگاه که فردی است نهایتا ۴۰ ساله، معتقد است که ما بیش از ۵۰ سال است که کتاب فروشیم. در این فروشگاه تمامی کتابهای بیش از یک جلد با بند جعبههای سیبزمینی بسته شدهاند. وقتی که گفتم تفسیر حافظ خرمشاهی را با جلد سالم میخواهم؛ این فروشنده ۵۰ ساله سابقه گفت شما باید به محتوای کتاب توجه کنی، جلد که اهمیت ندارد. در این فروشگاه کتاب آشپژی و کتاب دگردیسی مشغولیتها با کتاب زبان تخصصی کامپیوتر کنار هم قرار دارند، و کتاب مادام بواری در یک قفسه است و کتاب تفسیر مادام بواری در قفسهای دیگر. البته وقتی به خانم فروشنده گفتم که باید چیدمان کتابهایتان را تغییر دهید، گفت نرو بابا. تا آنجا که میدانم تقاضا برای کتاب در شیراز خوب است. اما این عرضه کننده از موقعیت انحصاری برخوردار است . حال که نمیتواند قیمت را بالا ببرد، کیفیت عرضه محصولات را پایین آورده است. شهرهایی مانند شیراز، اصفهان، مشهد، کرمان و … حتی یک کتابفروشی تمام عیار ندارند. به گمانم این چراغ چشمکزنی است که نشان از فقر فرهنگی کتاب و کتابفروشی و کتابخوانی دارد. هر بار که به شیراز میروم میبینم که چندین فروشگاه مدرن کیف و کفش و کلاه باز شده است و یک کتابفروشی هم تعطیل.
اما نوستالژی: برای من شیراز شهر نوستالژی است. رفتن به حافظیه و چای و… فال و جمع دوستان. یکی از بزرگترین مشکلات تهران برای من این است که جایی مانند حافظیه ندارد. به خصوص که مانند شبهای زمستان حافظیه خلوت و دنج باشد. راست می گفت که شیراز معدن کان حسن است و لب لعل. در هوای تمیز از کنار باغ ارم گذشتن و صدای خشخش برگها. یاد دوستانی که برخی از آنها را دیگر هرگز ندیدهام. یاد روزنامههای دوم خرداد. اما خاتمی تمام کننده خوبی نبود. من تکنوکراتهایی را دوست دارم که حاضرند هزینه اعتقاداتشان را بپردازند. اما راستش را بگویم مشکل اصلی دانشکده اقتصاد شیراز این بود که تحمل کردنش با آن استادان عجیب و غریب بیش از ۴ سال برای من امکانپذیر نبود. دیروز به آن دانشکده اقتصاد هم رفتم. هنوز هم همان انحصارات تدریس در آنجا برقرار است.
آن خانم فروشنده به شما گفت: برو بابا یا نرو بابا؟
تهران هم جاهای خلوت و دنج زیاد دارد، بگردید پیدا میکنید

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
