کنش سیاسی را میتوان به دو بخش تقسیم کرد. یک: درگیر بودن با امر سیاسی. دوم: مشارکت در انتخابات و بس. معمولا فعالان سیاسی کسانی هستند که نه صرفا در دوره انتخابات بلکه همیشه درگیر کنش سیاسی هستند. امر رایدادن به مثابه یکی از بارزترین بخشهای کنش سیاسی و نقطه اوج یک رفتار سیاسی، فعالان سیاسی را با کسانی که اصلا اهل سیاست نیستند برابر میسازد. در طول هفته گذشته با سه گروه درباره سیاست بحث داشتم: اول، مادرم. به او گفتم به چه کسی رای میدهی؟ گفت: احمدینژاد. چرا؟ سهام عدالت داده و سیب زمینی. مرد خداست. موسوی چطور است؟ خوب است. اما احمدینژاد بهتر است.
دوم: با گروهی از دوستانم که در طبقه روشنفکر جای میگیرند. بحث من این بود که من با هدف تغییر ریاست جمهوری در انتخابات شرکت میکنم. پرسش آنها: اگر فرد دیگری بیاید چه اتفاقی خواهد افتاد که با حضور احمدینژاد نمیافتد؟ پاسخم این بود که از نظر من قرار نیست رئیس جمهور جامعه را دگرگون کند. مثل خاتمی که نتوانست. رئیس جمهور فقط میتواند تغییرات بسیار سادهای ایجاد کند. حتی او ممکن است نتواند با طرح امنیت اجتماعی مخالفت کند. چراکه این امر در حیطه اختیاراتش نیست. بحث دوستانم هم این بود که با این اوصاف چرا باید مشارکت کرد. به هر حال پایان بحث ما این بود که به نتیجه مشخصی نرسیدیم و هیچکس هم نتوانست دیگری را قانع کند.
سوم: در تاکسی و با سه مسافر دیگر و راننده. راننده: این تاکسی من یک دانشگاه آکسفورد است. یاد کردان بخیر. رئیس جمهور همین احمدینژاد است. تا به حال همیشه دوره ریاست جمهوری ۸ ساله بوده است. باید احمدینژاد هم ۴ سال دیگر باشد. سه نفر دیگر هم یکی گفت: فردا به خارج از کشور میرود. دیگری گفت: نمیدانم روز انتخابات در کدام جاده مشغول رانندگیم. دیگری هم گفتک من به احمدینژاد رای میدهم. من هم در این گیرودار به دنبال ارائه آمار و ارقام برای قانع نمودن آنها بودم: چه رفتار احمقانهای.
نتیجه: یکی از احمقانهترین کارها در این روزهای مانده به انتخابات تلاش برای صحبت با دیگران درباره انتخابات است. همان آبزرشک بهتر است.

وقتی از مردم نظر میخوای همه بالفطره و مادرزاد سیاستمدارند و همه چیز بلد …. از طرفی هم وقتی بخواید با دلیل و منطق باهاشون وارد بحث بشید، میگن : به ما چه ؛ سیاست که پدر و مادر نداره ؛ هر کی بیاد به فکر خودشه ؛ و از این دست حرفها!
آدم میمونه که بالاخره کدوم حرف رو بپذیره: نظرات کارشناسانه و توصیه های عاقل اندر سفیهانه شان را ؛ یا یتیم بودن (بی پدر مادر بودن !) سیاست را!

اینکه بخواهی دیگران را متقاعد کنی به کی رای بدهند احمقانه است ولی اینکه نظرشان را بدانی خیلی هم جالب و اموزنده است.

Hey Matthew, I think I see why Mr. Daley doesnt get it. He believes that we should all give away what we have worked and saved for years for. Its o.k. to give to everyone overseas and those who dont care to work in this country either. And just think how much we continue to give to our retired and voted out senators and congressman. Of course they dont get it. We the taxpayers are the gifts who keep on giving!

Well, first did you look at those splits, are you kidding me, those are amazing splits up until mile 21 when unfortunately you didnt have the endurance to continue that pace. For someone who was training a ton on the Alter-G and not putting in the miles a 4:06 is such an amazing accomplishment that Im still blown away that you did so well on such a tough course.
